Course Description

Let's get together and practice the art of written communication through letter writing!

This self-paced flex class features videos that walk learners step-by-step through how to write individual and custom letters for different occasions using either templates provided or self-supplied paper.

Through fun instructional videos, the teacher will introduce and demonstrate the structure and format of a letter, including:

  • Date

  • Salutation

  • Body

  • Closing

  • Signature

The teacher will suggest options of content to include, as well as offer some samples for writing inspiration. Learners are encouraged to follow along, pausing to fill in each section in turn with their own original, custom content. For some letters, learners may want to know beforehand the recipient and the reason for their letter.

Templates are provided for use in writing letters, but learners can also use their own: plain or lined paper, stationery, cards, etc. A separate template and video will also be provided to demonstrate formatting for envelopes, but in order to keep student information confidential, learners are asked to not share them in the comments section.

                Thank You!

Thank you so much for joining me in writing letters these past few lessons! I've enjoyed putting videos together for you, and I hope you had fun writing and decorating your letters. I'm sure the people who received them loved getting them!

Feel free to print more templates to use in the future for writing more letters. Now that you're a pro, you can write a letter any time you feel like it.

Have a great day and I hope to see you in another class sometime soon!
