Interruptions

Why so long between posts? Let me explain... No, there is too much. Let me sum up.
When I started this website in May of 2024, I was ready to tackle a new adventure; to put my all into setting out on my own as an independent teacher, free from the marketplace and platform restrictions and commissions. Sure, it was going to take a lot of work, but I had the drive and the time to make it happen!
And then my mom got sick. And all my drive, energy, and extra time were needed elsewhere. The farm didn't stop, homeschooling didn't stop, but there were new priorities like taking shifts as chauffer, personal shopper, housekeeper, cook, and caregiver that took priority. Going through treatments, hospice, and final days consume your physical and emotional energy. And then there are arrangements, and the monumental task of distribution of the totality of a lifetime of stuff.
When you fill out a job application, employers often ask you to explain any gaps in your employment history. I very much consider this my true employment, and I can tell you - dear reader - that during this gap in my work history I was busy prioritizing the important things in life.
Sometimes the important things are what happens in the gaps.
But I am glad to be back.
